About Alice's

Located at 867 W Jefferson St, San Bernardino, CA 92410, Alice's operates as a diner serving San Bernardino in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Breakfast is its own restaurant category in the United States. Diners serve eggs, pancakes, hash browns and bottomless coffee from early morning, sometimes around the clock; breakfast and brunch restaurants open around 7 and close in the early afternoon; delis and sandwich shops sell egg sandwiches and bagels to go and switch to lunch by 11. Weekend brunch, roughly 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is the busiest shift of the week, and well-known spots run waits of 30 to 60 minutes; many now take reservations or a waitlist through an app. Expect large portions, free refills on drip coffee and a tip of 15 to 20 percent for table service. Creperies, waffle houses and bistros round out the group with sweeter or European-style menus.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 6:30 amโ€“2 pm. San Bernardino is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Bernardino follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is such a cute diner. The food is absolutely amazing. I got the South of the Border Turkey & Swiss with Ortega chilies. They use real turkey! Not that processed lunch meat bs. My normally picky 10yo daughter got a cheese omelet with their house potatoes & she loved it too. I stole one of her potatoes & it was really good. The portion sizes are huge, & the staff were very friendly. Even though the place was packed, we still got our food in a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely eat here over places like IHOP or Dennys.

TLDR: Nice local cafe for breakfast We are always looking for local cafes for breakfast when we travel. Aliceโ€™s worked out nicely for the time of day and location. Parking was a bit limited, but they do have a dirt lot behind the restaurant for overflow. We got there around 10 and the place was full, but they had a table where they could seat us right away. My wife ordered the French toast combo with scrambled eggs and bacon, and I ordered my usual 2 eggs over medium, bacon, hash browns and wheat toast. The food was just like our home cafe in Peoria AZ. Itโ€™s hard to mess up typical breakfast fare and they didnโ€™t disappoint. Their hash browns were different in that they had green pepper and onion cooked into them, which was a refreshing change. Service was great, and our coffee was never empty. Like other reviewers, we did find the coffee to be a bit on the weak side, but it wouldnโ€™t keep us from coming back if the opportunity arose. One note for the manager though, one of the restrooms had no visible light switch and the light wasnโ€™t on. It was kind of interesting using the restroom by phone flashlightโ€ฆ Someone was camped in the other restroom, so hopefully it had a light. I thi
